What is the difference between evaporator and condenser? First of all, the condenser and evaporator belong to the heat exchange equipment, but the condenser is the heat release component, the evaporator is the heat absorption component, the two are indispensable parts in the refrigeration equipment. Let's look at the difference between condenser and evaporator.
Both condensers and evaporators are heat exchangers. The so-called heat exchange is the equipment with two or more kinds of fluids with different temperatures transferring heat to each other, so it is also called heat exchange equipment. Therefore, although the structure of condenser and evaporator is diverse, the working principle is the same. They are all equipment for heat exchange through refrigerant and the external medium flowing through the surface of their container, that is, they are a kind of heat exchanger. The factors affecting heat transfer are the same in condenser and evaporator, and the heat transfer is related to the heat transfer area, heat transfer temperature difference and heat transfer coefficient.
The working form of condenser and evaporator is different. The condenser is to cool and liquify the medium and release heat externally. Evaporator is the medium of heat absorption gasification, absorption of external heat, that is, the refrigerant is changed from gas to liquid, is a condensation heat release process, its internal pressure is generally high; The refrigerant of the evaporator is changed from liquid to gas, which is a process of evaporation and heat absorption, and its internal pressure is generally low.
The condenser is one of the main heat exchange equipment in the refrigeration device. Its function is to cool and condense the superheated steam of the refrigerant discharged by the booster of the refrigerator into the refrigerant liquid, and release the heat in the cooling medium. The commonly used cooling media are: water and air.
Evaporator is used for heat exchange between refrigerant and low temperature heat source in refrigeration system, and is also one of the main heat exchange equipment in refrigeration device. In the evaporator, the refrigerant liquid vaporizes at low pressure and low temperature to absorb the heat of the cooled medium and become the refrigerant dry saturated gas or superheated steam at low temperature and low pressure, thus generating and output cold capacity in the refrigeration system. The evaporator is located between the throttle valve and the air return main pipe of the refrigerator or between the liquid supply and the air return pipe of the vapor-liquid separation equipment, and is installed in the cold room or place where cooling and freezing are required.
Evaporator and condenser are important parts of refrigeration equipment, relying on the heat absorption/heat release reaction of these two components, refrigeration equipment can work normally.
As a heat-absorbing component, evaporator uses the volatile characteristics of liquid low-temperature refrigerant under low pressure to transform into steam and absorb the heat of the cooled medium to achieve the purpose of refrigeration. From the structure, it can be divided into box type, tube type, plate type and other different types.
As a heat releasing component, the condenser can convert the high temperature and high pressure gaseous refrigerant compressed by the compressor into the liquid state of low temperature and high pressure, so as to emit heat to the outside world. It absorbs and releases with the evaporator, so as to realize the conservation of heat. From the structure, it can be divided into shell and tube type, casing type, plate type, water spray type and other different types.
