Basic knowledge of condenser

In the freezing cycle, the refrigerant vapor in the condenser gives off the heat of vaporization that it has absorbed in the evaporator. Household chillers generally use the following four types of condensers.

1. Fins -- static (natural convection);
2. Fins -- forced convection;
3, silk - static;
4, plate - static.

Common finned tube static condenser. The so-called static, refers to the air through natural convection over the condensate tube and fin. Natural convection is the heating of air to rise. When the air comes into contact with the finned tube, it will be heated up, and the surrounding cooler air will flow through to fill. Condensate tubes and fins are generally made of copper or steel.

Forced convection finned tube condenser. As long as the compressor is running, an electric fan pushes air through the condenser.

Wire condenser. This condenser is welded or spot-welded to the condenser tube with fine wire. Wire welded condenser is generally static.

Plate condenser. The condensing tube of this condenser is solder or brazed to the surface of the metal plate. This is a very common condenser used in many open-top freezers. The condensate pipe is fixed on the inside of the freezer shell (insulated side). The condenser is easy to clean by wiping the surface of the casing. In order to ensure the heat release of refrigerant vapor, the surface of the condenser should always be kept clean.

There are three types of condensers used in commercial installations:

1, static air cooling fin type;
2, forced convection air cooling fin type;
3, water cooling casing device type.

Commercial static finned condensers and forced convection finned condensers have much the same structure as household condensers, only larger. Many commercial refrigeration units use forced convection finned condensers.

Water cooled condenser is generally composed of two tubes, one set inside the other, water circulates inside, and high pressure hot steam flows between tubes. This kind of condenser is usually called tube condenser, and it is very efficient.

With the rapid development of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning, it is difficult for many residential areas to provide enough water to water-cooled condenser. Therefore, more and more forced convection air-cooled condenser and "cooling tower" are used to connect to water condenser.
