Pressure test
Principle: By filling a certain pressure of refrigerant or nitrogen into the evaporator, and then observe the pressure change to determine whether there is leakage.
Operation: Refrigerant or nitrogen is filled into the evaporator, the system is closed and pressurized to the specified value, and then observe the pressure change over a period of time. If the pressure drops significantly, there is a leak.
Ultraviolet detection of gas
Principle: Use a special gas (such as helium) injected into the evaporator, and then observe the light emitted by the gas through the ultraviolet detector. If there is a leak, the gas escapes from the leak point and is caught by the UV detector.
Operation: A tracer gas such as helium is filled into the evaporator, and then the evaporator is fully scanned using a UV detector.
hydrometry
Principle: After the evaporator is charged with air greater than atmospheric pressure, put it into the water to observe whether there are bubbles. The bubbling location is the leak location.
Operation: Immerse the evaporator in water after pressurization, and carefully observe whether there are bubbles.
Halogen method
Principle: The probe of halogen leak detector is used to find the leak point on the surface of the evaporator. When the leak detector detects halogen gas, it will issue an audible and visual alarm.
Operation: Inject the appropriate amount of halogen gas into the evaporator, and then use the halogen leak detector for a full scan.
