Classification by structure type
Tubular condenser: also known as finned condenser, is an early form of condenser. It is mainly composed of copper or aluminum tubes and fins, fins are mostly aluminum, used to increase the heat dissipation area and provide support for the condensation tube. The tubular condenser has the advantages of simple structure, convenient processing and low cost, but the heat dissipation effect is relatively limited.
Tubular condenser: is a relatively new type of condenser. Different from the tubular condenser, the tubular condenser is composed of a longitudinal combination of tubes, and the refrigerant is cooled after passing through these tubes, and the hot air is converted into condensed water. The tubular condenser has the characteristics of small space occupation, good cooling effect, and strong and durable. However, the cost is relatively high and requires a long production period.
Classification by cooling medium
Air-cooled : The heat released by the refrigerant is taken away by the air, the air can be natural convection, or the fan can be used for forced flow. This condenser is often used in freon refrigeration units in places where water supply is inconvenient or difficult.
Water cooling: The heat released by the refrigerant is taken away by the cooling water, and the cooling water can be used once or recycled. Water cooled condenser can be divided into vertical shell and tube type, horizontal shell and tube type and tube type according to its different structure types.
Evaporation-condensation type: rely on the cooling effect of the evaporation of refrigerant in another refrigeration system to cool the refrigerant steam on the other side of the heat transfer wall, causing the latter to condense and liquefy.
Water-air cooling: The refrigerant is cooled by both water and air, but it is mainly cooled by the evaporation of cooling water on the surface of the heat transfer tube.
