The compressor compresses the refrigerant, which is then passed through the coil where the refrigerant releases heat to the outside air. The fan blows air over the coil, removing heat from the refrigerant and dispersing it into the environment. Once the refrigerant has released its heat, it returns to the inside unit of the heat pump to begin the cycle again. The efficiency of a heat pump system depends on the effectiveness of the condenser in releasing the absorbed heat.

Principle of operation

Therefore, the heat pump condenser cools the high pressure refrigerant in order to cool it and convert it into low pressure liquid refrigerant.

Specifically, when the high-pressure refrigerant in the heat pump circulation system enters the condenser, it will be cooled, and the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant will drop, so that it gradually changes from the gaseous state to the liquid state. When the liquid refrigerant flows into the evaporator of the heat pump, it absorbs the heat from the surrounding heat source and converts it into a cooling effect. Finally, the refrigerant is compressed again into a high-pressure gaseous refrigerant, which enters the condenser and repeats the whole cycle process.
